For flexible parts using R-M Diamont DF25 flex agent mix ratio: 4 parts DC88nr clear by volume 1 part DF25 flex by volume
Then mix 6:1 with DH42 or DH46 hardener
For panel or spot repairs use DH42 hardener For complete paint jobs or under hot conditions use DH46 hardener Things to DO: - Do spray over Diamont Color only. - Do use 809 Fisheye Eliminator in DC88nr if necessary - Do use within a one hour period for best results - Do add up to a maximum of 1/2 oz. per quart of HR5 Jet5 to the DC88nr/DH46 mixture to improve cure times in cool weather.
Things NOT to DO: - Do not add reducers to DC88nr. - Do not add more or less of the DH42 or DH46 Hardener. Measure the amount - do not estimate. - Do not attempt to recoat, sand or compound DC88nr until the final coat has dried for a minimum of 24 hours. - Do not use DC88nr if the shop temperature is below 15°C/60°F. - Do not use any hardeners other than DH42 or DH46 - Do not add HR5 Jet5 if DH42 hardener is used.
Repair of DC88nr Diamond Clear 1. All the DC88nr to dry for 24 hours at 20C/68F before performing a repair. 2. After a 24 hours dry period, DC88nr can be lightly scuff sanded and additional DC88nr applied. 3. If the repair requires the application of more basecoat color, allow the DC88nr to dry 24 hours and then follow the normal application procedures. 4. After DC88nr has dried for 24 hours, small sags or dirt can be removed can be removed by sanding with 1200 grit (or finer) sandpaper followed by compounding the clear with a fine compound to restore the gloss. REMARKS: If it is not practical to clearcoat the entire panel and blending of the clear is necessary (e.g., roof pillar), remelt the clearcoat edge with UBR100 Blending Solvent or HR50 Blending Solvent (1 part clear/hardener/reducer + 5 parts UBR100 or HR50) using reduced air pressure to the spray gun. The blending of clear into a panel is not covered under the R-M warranty.
